How do I know if I am an Intermediate Climber yet?
The Conclusion to the Beginner series!
So you’ve been climbing for a while now, and you’ve got a pair of shoes, your own favourite form of white powder, potentially a harness and when you climb you’ve gotten a few climbs you’ve found difficult and maybe a higher grade than you ever thought you would do when you started.
Those all may be signs you’ve become an intermediate-level climber!
Now there are different levels of intermediate climbers out there as everyone has different starting points, goals, and things they are climbing for. So what an “Intermediate” Climber.
Well, different gyms and people have different opinions on the matter but are generally sorry for those that don’t know this grading system (I know the Vs for bouldering best).
Generally between the V4 and V7 range is considered an intermediate climber at most locations or around the middle of the pack when it comes to most gym locations difficulty.
Now for those that are like that, I’ve climbed for five years and still haven’t gotten to that level yet am I an intermediate climber?
The level of a climber to be intermediate isn’t something you get by just climbing a long time, I would call you an experienced climber, not a beginner but not intermediate either.
So what now?
So you’re experienced and you want to reach Intermediate or just continue enjoying your current climbing?
Then the next series is still a great opportunity for you as I will be going over all the tips, techniques, training, and other useful climbing info in order for you to improve your climbing and further enjoy the wonderful sport.
The next Series will be called “Journey to V8” and will encompass all the things that I am currently doing and continuously learning to improve my ability to climb and finally reach the V8+ grade!
So, Thank you for reading my beginner series and I look forward to sharing my journey to V8 and all the tips and tricks I learned along the way!
